Helpful information to get you started with services:

  • How do I make an appointment? Prior to the first session (Initial Diagnostic Assessment), we schedule a complimentary consultation to speak to new clients via video or phone for 15- minutes. This meeting allows us to better understand service needs and to make sure we’re a good fit for you. You can schedule the consultation by calling us at 833-786-8243, emailing us at shallyv@bptwcenter.com, or simply completing the form on the Contact Us tab.

  • Do you accept insurance? We do not accept insurance directly. We are considered an out-of-network provider and utilize a private pay model. If you have out-of-network mental health benefits, we can provide documentation (Superbill) for you to submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Your insurance company may pay all or a portion of the cost of treatment. Please contact them and ask the following questions:

    -Do I have mental health insurance benefits and will I be reimbursed for these services?

    -How much of the fee is reimbursed for out-of-network providers?

    -What is my deductible for out-of-network benefits?

    -Have I met my deductible out-of-network benefits?

    -What paperwork do I need to complete to receive out-of-network benefits?

    -How long will it take to be reimbursed for sessions after I have submitted my claims out-of-network benefits?

    -Is approval required from my out-of-network providers?

    -Are mental/behavioral health services for Current Procedural Terminology/CPT codes 90834 and /or 90837 covered by my out-of-network benefits?

  • How can I pay for my sessions? When you complete “New Patient Paperwork” via our secure HIPAA compliant client portal, you’ll be able to add a credit card for easy processing. We accept all major credit cards including Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). Payment is due in full at the time of services.

  • Is there paperwork I will need to complete? We ask our clients to fill out all the paperwork online before your first session. Your therapist will send you a link to our secure client portal which will allow you to get started with completing the necessary documents for treatment.

  • How long does each session last? A standard session is 45-minutes long. However, upon request, we can schedule for a 60-minute session if discussed in advance.

  • What states do you offer services in? We have virtual offices in Virginia, Washington D.C., and Georgia. We plan to have our Virginia/Washington D.C. office ready for in-person sessions by Fall 2025.

  • Do you offer services in languages other than English? We provide services in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi.

  • How long will I be in therapy?The duration of therapy can vary greatly from person to person. Some clients start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may find that longer-term or ongoing therapy becomes a valuable part of their weekly routine. We'll regularly assess your progress together and adjust our approach based on your needs and goals. Our primary aim is to support you in a way that feels most beneficial for you

  • How is my privacy protected? Your privacy is very important to us and we take all necessary steps to ensure your privacy/confidentiality. We use a secure HIPAA compliant EHR and follow the ethical guidelines established by our licensing board to provide confidentiality.

  • What is your cancellation policy? Once a session is scheduled, that slot is held for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please do so 48 hour before your scheduled appointment. If a cancellation occurs without 48 hours notice, a full session fee is charged. A full session fee is also charged for no-shows.

  • What is the cost per session? Rates vary based on therapist experience and licensing status. Our typical service is 45-minute individual counseling with a licensed clinician which is $200 per session. Payment will be due at the end of each session. We accept credit card payments through our secure portal on SimplePractice.

  • Are you seeing clients in-person or virtually? Currently we are seeing clients virtually in Virginia, Washington D.C., and Georgia. We plan to have an office ready for in-person services for our Virginia and Washington D.C. clients in Fall 2025.

  • What population do you see in counseling? We see individuals starting at 3 years old, including preteen, adolescents, young adults, and adults.
