About Us

Shally Vaid, LPC, NCC, CCH, CPCS.

Shally Vaid, MA, LPC, NCC is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC006531) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC211781) in the state of Georgia. She is the founder and clinical director of Bright Path Therapy and Wellness Center (formerly Vaid Counseling Services). Shally holds a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology, Professional Counseling from Argosy University and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgia State University. She received specialized training completing her internship at Atlanta Psychiatry and Neurology where she provided individual, couples, family and group counseling. She has more than 15 years of clinical experience in the mental health field. Alongside private practice, Shally teaches university-level courses in Psychology and Cultural Diversity.

While Shally’s clinical experience includes working with various populations, she has a passion for treating women and children. She specializes in treating women’s psychological and emotional issues and particularly has a deep connection and compassion for women who are facing challenges of pregnancy and motherhood. She has advanced training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International. Shally works closely with OBGYNs, psychiatrists, and family practitioners to provide comprehensive care for women. Shally’s specialized training includes perinatal mood disorders, infertility, miscarriage and child loss, and birth trauma.

Shally also focuses on treating children and adolescents with mental health and behavioral struggles. She has a natural affinity for children and teens and can easily connect with them. Shally provides a safe and nonjudgmental space for children and their families to overcome daily challenges and stressful life events. She works closely with parents and caregivers by providing parent coaching and skill building to enhance parent-child relationship.

Lastly, Shally provides counseling services for college students as they navigate the different challenges college life brings. She has taught university-level courses for over 10 years and works well with this population. She is committed to helping students obtain the support and resources they need to improve their emotional well-being and accomplish their personal and academic goals.

Having traveled and lived in different countries, Shally has a passion for diversity and honors the traditions and religions from around the world. She is trained in various modalities and strongly believes in holistic counseling with an emphasis on mind-body connection. To Western psychotherapy techniques, she incorporates Eastern philosophies of meditation and yoga to help her clients begin to heal and learn to live healthier, happier, and balanced lives. When Shally is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and their dog Kammie.

Kishwar Peiris

Kishwar is an Intern at Bright Path Therapy and Wellness Center and is working towards a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. She has experience working with children from middle and high school age as a teacher and is excited to work with clients of various age segments. Prior to her interest in Mental Health Counseling, she earned her Bachelor’s in Communication, Master’s in Healthcare Administration, MTeach, and MA in Education. She looks forward to learning and working with professionals at Bright Path to help support people in their journey of social, emotional, and mental wellness. She is passionate about her work and looks forward to individually working with all clients to meet their needs. She believes in supporting her client to unlock their potentials and help them focus and discover the solutions to what they are experiencing. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking enticing food for her family, watches a movie, and travel with her family.

Bridget Spicer, MA, LPC.

Bridget Spicer, MA, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC010614) in the state of Georgia. She completed a Master of Psychology (Clinical) at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, and a Bachelor of Psychology and Bachelor of Social Science in Criminology at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Bridget also completed the Clinical Psychology Registrar Program to become endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, prior to moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 2017.

Bridget has extensive clinical experience working with a wide range of diagnosed mental health disorders. She is passionate about helping others to improve their own lives, and has supported people as they faced challenges with stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, and sexuality. She has over 10 years’ experience working in the drug and alcohol field and has worked extensively with people who have a history of trauma.
Bridget prides herself on being open-minded, authentic and non-judgmental, and has worked effectively with people from a broad range of cultural backgrounds and life experiences. Her goal is to establish a strong therapeutic relationship that is built on trust, honesty, empathy and compassion.

Bridget predominantly works within a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy framework, integrating mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy approaches. She has been incorporating mindfulness into her personal life and professional practice for many years and has found this to be personally valuable, as well as beneficial to the clients she works with. Bridget is also a strong believer in the mind-body connection, maintaining a regular yoga practice and completing a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2018.
